ELOG App Updates

In our most recent ELOG app update (late May), we moved the Marine Mammal, Inactivity, and Lost Gear reports to the Trip Level. This means you no longer need to create a Trip to submit any of these reports.

Check out our short video showing how this new process works:

To take advantage of these updates, you need to be using the latest version of the app. Here’s how to check what version you’re using and update if needed.

Popular FAQs

Here are some of the most frequent ELOG questions we got this past season (in case they’re helpful):

How do I delete records or a trip?
Deleting works differently on the web vs mobile. Here’s how to do it on either platform

How do the date and time stamps work?
There are four timestamps necessary for trip validation. They need to be in chronological order (from earliest to latest), and each time must be unique. Get more details here

What does the Save & Validate button do compared to the Save & Exit button?
Save & Validate checks your data for errors before you move on. Save & Exit skips validation and takes you straight to the next step.

You can find all our ELOG FAQs here.  And don’t forget we have video tutorials covering everything you need to get started and set up with ELOGs.
