Your ELOG key comes from the DFO, not from us. Their site walks you through the process of getting your key. To sign in to get a key, you will need to do so using one of the two following options, and if run into any issues you can call the DFO for help at: 1-877-535-7307:
- A sign-in partner, such as through your financial institution. This is done using the SecureKey Concierge function. Please contact your financial institution for step-by-step instructions for using this.
- GCKey, which is the Government of Canada’s anonymous and secure electronic credential.
Please note: You only need to get your ELOG key once – however if you haven’t used it in over a year the DFO will require you to get a new one, otherwise the same ELOG key is used for all fisheries and remains the same year after year.
