Winter 2025 In-Person ELOG Training Sessions

Lobster and Crab ELOGS are now mandatory in most of Canada. This year, many harvesters will be using electronic logbooks for the first time. To make that transition easier for them, we’ll be on the road throughout PEI, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Quebec, and New Brunswick, hosting In-Person ELOG Training Sessions to help new users get set up and started with ELOGs.

Lobster and Crab ELOGS Mandatory in Many Canadian Fisheries by January 1st, 2025

Canada’s commercial fishing industry is taking a significant step forward. By January 1, 2025, Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) will require electronic logbooks (ELOGS) in Crab and Lobster fisheries across the Gulf and Quebec regions, with other regions and fisheries to follow shortly.
