Mandatory ELOGs are here—are you ready?

Vericatch helping fishers get set up

Spring fishing seasons are coming up quickly—and so are mandatory ELOGs.

We’ve been on the road since January, helping harvesters get set up and running with ELOGs. However, many harvesters still haven’t chosen an ELOG, so we’re encouraging them to decide on a provider and get set up now while we have the time to provide hands-on support. Last-minute sign-ups may mean we can provide less 1:1 support as the season approaches.

As a small team, we’re putting measures in place to provide as much last-minute support as possible. Here’s what we’ve got planned:

In-Person ELOG Sessions: These live sessions are your best bet for in-person support.  We’re currently running these in Newfoundland into early April. You can find these sessions and register for them here: vericatch.com/events. We won’t be able to revisit all the locations (over 100!) we’ve already visited. However, if you have a group of harvesters interested in working with our ELOGs and you’d like us to come to your town for a session, please reach out, and we’ll see what we can do to make it work.

ELOG Set Up Webinars: Can’t make our in-person events, but still would like support getting set up with ELOGs? We have upcoming English and French webinars and will plan more if there is demand. You can register for our March 19th or March 27th English webinars now, as well as our March 25th French webinar

Small Group ELOG Set-Up Support Sessions: Book time with one of our support specialists, who will walk you through setting up your ELOGs. Book here sooner rather than later to have time to get used to using our ELOGs!

To make the most of your time at any of the sessions above, please come to the training with the following information:

✅ Your Fishing Info: FIN, License Number & Vessel ID

✅ Your ELOG Key (Get yours for free here)

✅ A Smartphone (You’ll need to download our app)

✅ Email Access on your phone or tablet

✅ If someone helps you with your logbook, invite them too!

If you already have your ELOG and know people who don’t, please forward this to them to help them prepare!
