At Vericatch, we are looking for an individual to drive identifying our customer’s needs and the broader business objectives that our product’s expanding feature set will fulfill. This person will articulate what success looks like for the new features and has the ability to rally our team to turn that vision into reality.
Role
- Understand Market Environment: including company strategy, resources, customer needs & usage, market, competitors and opportunities
- Set out a Product Vision and Roadmap for core capabilities, products & life-cycle that will drive customer retention & revenue growth
- Communicate Cross-Functionally with development and business teams to reach consensus and Define Product features, functionality and behaviours for development to create that meet the business objectives
- Act as Product Owner and interact with development during the feature development cycles
- Follow-up on Product Performance with key stakeholders to keep product direction aligned with evolving customer needs & usage, market, competitors and opportunities
- Support the Business and Operations team as the Product Expert
Deliverables & Specific Processes
- Regular insight reviews of Market Environment (~1/qtr). Share key value-added learnings with key stakeholders of customer needs & usage, market, competitors and opportunities
- Periodically create and maintain Product Vision and Roadmap at company-wide and individual product roadmap levels (~1/qtr)
- Define product needs into Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and support with necessary User Interface (UI) detail (e.g. mockups and flows)
- Distill and manage field feature requests and fixes into a consistent process for efficient development within the product release cycles through the product planning cycle with key stakeholders
- Regularly engage with customers and customer-facing team members to listen, understand market environment and validate possible product solutions and product features
- Review product usage information, customer support/activity and other available material to better understand issues and opportunities
- Create and use product and product feature materials for the business team

This pivotal position at Vericatch will suit an individual interested in supporting a broad range of customers and driving meaningful change in the world. Key characteristics for success would be a willingness to listen, learn and distill potentially conflicting priorities into a measured product strategy and plan.
The role is currently an individual contributor role, but as a senior role in the company, we are looking for someone able to lead others and act professionally as a senior company representative internally and externally.
This role is remote, however the individual should be able to spend some time in the field in support of our sales team. Whereas technical skills are not required for the role, the individual should have the ability to work diligently to specify product feature requirements sufficiently for and with the development team.
Strongly Desired:
- Experience in a product role at a SaaS B2B developer & selling company
- Start-up experience (e.g. working in small teams)
- Excellent communication skills (incl. listening)
- Located in Canada
