Dalal fills the dual roles of Business Development and Chief Science Officer. She is responsible for identifying and implementing strategic growth opportunities, as well as providing scientific leadership to align the company’s solutions with the needs of fisheries and the seafood supply chain.
Prior to joining Vericatch, Dalal was Senior Science Specialist at Ocean Wise, where she was responsible for determining the scientific direction behind seafood recommendations and advising seafood suppliers on sustainable sourcing, fishing, and aquaculture practices. She holds a BA in Environmental Studies from Middlebury College, and a PhD in Fisheries from the University of British Columbia where she examined the accuracy of global catch reporting.
